Get to Know

I was 15 when I adopted Legend from a wild horse rescue in Tanasket Washington. I remember that day like it was yesterday. My father and I were on the road by 4am to pick her up, it was cold day in mid November, November 14th to be exact. As one can only imagine I was beyond thrilled, this was going to be my first horse! When we pulled into the rescue I didn't even have to step out of the truck before I knew which horse I wanted. There were 17, 6-9month old wild horse from Nevada in a small holding pen.There was nothing flashy about the one that caught my eye, I just had this gut feeling she was the one. This feeling was intensified when I entered the pen... that shy little horse that had been standing behind all the other horses made her way up to the front and let me touch her face, I knew in that moment she was without a doubt the one! It was like a moment from a movie! I named that little horse Legend, in the year and a half I've owned her I've watched her mature into a tall, gorgeous, strong horse. Legend and I have an indescribable bond and I am so grateful to have her! Standing at 15'4 hands at 2 years old she's really a beautiful mare and am confident she will go far in life.
